- Release Notes -
Paleo has been traveling through American since 2005 writing, recording and
playing to anyone with an ear to listen to him. In 2005, Paleo, aka David
Strackany, self released his debut, Misery, Missouri and began his life on
the road. In the years of 2006-2007, he took it upon himself to record one
song a day for an entire year, calling it The Song Diary which you can still
access HERE. While taking this massive project on, Paleo never stopped
traveling and that continues to this day.
A one man machine of writing, recording, booking his own tours and basically
living out of his car and staying with friends he has made in all corners of
America, its hard to get him to ebb. This is why Partisan Records is pleased
to announce that Paleos first album on a label is with us. Titled A View of
the Sky, this is Davids vision of, as he said to the magazine Tape Op in
2008, A great record, and we couldnt agree more.
