Release Notes:
The story of BLITZKID began in Bluefield, West Virgina in the dark and cold winter of 97.
In the 14 years that they have now been a band, they have toured consistently all over the
U.S. and Europe. The band is headed up by Argyle Goolsby (bass/vocals), Nathan Bane
(guitar/keyboard) and Rick-O-Mortis (drums).
In all that time, they have garnered critical underground acclaim for their tireless work
ethic, consistent, ever evolving album output, disregard for gas mileage, and dedication
to giving their audience the respect they deserve through providing great songs and
energetic live shows. The band has been branded by the road and wears these scars proudly.
BLITZKID has a prodigious following in the states as well as Europe, and have shared the
stage, with many and great notable acts as Agent Orange, The Damned, Leftover Crack,
The Rezurex, Bella Morte, Mad Sin, The Exploited, Ignite, Agnostic Front, The Meteors,
The Casualties, and The Misfits. The Band has also been a regular part of many of the
biggest scene relevant festivals in Europe including Mera Luna, Rock My Ass, Endless Summer,
Summer Breeze, and WGT.
Their music has also appeared in many salient horror films; most notably
"It Came From Trafalgar", Dark Wings, a documentary on the Mothman, Satan Hates You,
and Gris Grimlys intant classic Cannibal Flesh Riot. They have also appeared favorably
in a lot of international fanzines such as Terrorizer, Punk Rock Confidential, Metal
Maniacs, Rue Morgue, Horrorhound, Virus, Drop Dead, Sonic Seducer, KinKats, Revolver,
Zillo, and Ox-Fanzine.
Since they have been together, the band has captured the imaginations of fans of
underground music all over the world, no matter which kind of subculture they belong to.
At BLITZKID shows, there is no separation between the band and their fans, and you can
expect it to be a catharsis of emotion, intensity and raw melodicism.
Their aim was, and always will be, to create something meaningful for themselves and others,
forsaking fame and fortune for songs that stand the test of time. In 2011 you can expect
the long awaited new album from the U.S. horrorpunks, with their seventh official
output called Apparitional, they will define their position as one of the top bands
of their genre and above!
